Haven been elected, Aloo faces the National Democratic Congress’s Nichema Alamzy, whose election win saw the ousting of incumbent MP Thomas Dalu.
Astute banker, Robert Apechira Aloo has bagged re-election as the Chiana-Paga New Patriotic Party parliamentary candidate.
Aloo swept 547 votes, in yesterday’s election, to beat competitor Mark Ayamga who scored 122 votes.
Haven been elected, Aloo faces the National Democratic Congress’s Nichema Alamzy, whose election win saw the ousting of incumbent MP Thomas Dalu.
In a brief victory speech, Aloo thanked the delegates for renewing his candidature, saying it was refreshing to know that the party faithful have confidence in him.
He also commended the party faithful for a peaceful election which he noted was largely characterized by a clean campaign.
Aloo said going into the general election in 2024, there was the need for the party to unite and work together to guarantee their victory of the parliamentary seat. To that end, Aloo pledge to work closely with his contender, Mark Ayamga and the ranks of the party.
“The way and manner we went about our campaign did not muddy the water. I, therefore, call on every party person to unite and coexist peacefully, and get ready for the forward match into 2024 elections,”
“I will everything within my power to reach out to Mark Ayamga so that we work together with our teams to bring victory to the great NPP,”
