Mike FM launch: General Manager calls for cooperation and feedback as station starts full operations

Castro Senyalah, the General Manager of Mike FM, a newly commissioned radio station in Navrongo in the Upper East Region, has called for cooperation from the public as the station begins official operations on Monday.

The General Manager is also encouraging the public to give feedback on its operations. He believes this will help his outfit improve upon the programming and running of the radio station to adequately cater for the needs and preferences of its audience.

“As we embark on this exciting journey, we invite you to join us in shaping the future of Mike FM. Share your thoughts, your feedback, and your suggestions. Your voice matters, and we are committed to listening to you,” he stated.

Delivering a speech at the launch of the station’s operations, Senyalah indicated that the outlet’s focus will be meeting the needs of its audience and leading the charge for development.

He assured them of thrilling and impactful broadcasting that will leave the station’s varied listeners satisfied.

Senyalah also paid tribute to the CEO of the outlet, Michael Achagwe Luguje for investing in an establishment he said, “does not immediately generate revenue”.

But this investment, Senyalah noted, will not only project the area and the region as whole “but will live to become his legacy”.

Transmitting on the frequency 105.3 MHz, Mike FM has changed the sound of radio in the area and region at large as it treated listeners to exhilarating programmes through its test transmission.

It has also kept its online audience up-to-date with timely online reports on www.mikefmonline.com.

It has since completed its test transmission and is now zooming into full operations.

The launch, which took place at the FM’s premises, brought together traditional and political leaders, radio enthusiasts and many other stakeholders, who are impressed with the radio station’s output so far.

On his part, the Municipal Chief Executive for the Kassena-Nankana Municipality, Joseph Adongo commended the station for its wide coverage and professionalism and urged it to stick to such professional standards.

The CEO of the station also emphasized the need to adhere to professional standards, pointing out that the media can only thrive on such a benchmark.
