Chiana-Paga Constituency MP-elect Pledges to Serve with Humility and Integrity

Alamzy, who goes to parliament next year, emerged victorious in the just ended parliamentary election after winning a landslide with 22,548 votes against his major contender Robert Apechira Aloo, who got 12,884 votes.

The Member of Parliament-elect for Chiana-Paga, Nikyema Billa Alamzy, has said he will be a humble servant to the people and maintain the highest level of integrity.

Alamzy, who goes to parliament next year, emerged victorious in the just ended parliamentary election after winning a landslide with 22,548 votes against his major contender Robert Apechira Aloo, who got 12,884 votes.

Appearing on the Big Mike Breakfast Show on December 11, 2024, Alamzy said his foremost priority will be to champion the development of the constituency and not become a leader for the parochial interests of a few.

He intimated that following the people’s desire for change and haven voted him into office, he was focused on working assiduously in response to the difficulties of the people in the current turbulent times.

Touching on some interventions, Alamzy mentioned that the construction of boreholes for dry season farming would be top on the list. He was hopeful such interventions would help to greatly improve the lives of the people.

“Construction of Boreholes, providing boreholes for every polling station and community to ensure access to clean water. Mechanizing them for women and youth groups to facilitate dry season farming.”

The yet-to-be sworn in legislator also said he would tackle abandoned projects initiated by his predecessor and ensure their completion for the benefit of the people.

While assuring his constituents to deliver on his promises, Alamzy said he also intends to take advantage of the 24-hour economy to create opportunities for the youth and improve the local economy.
