Death of ‘Jirapa Dubai’ owner: Killer(s) climbed his wall with a ladder and used a Master Card to access his room

The perpetrator(s) after scaling the wall with the ladder, then used a Master Card to access the deceased’s room.

It has emerged that the killer or killers of Eric Johnson, the owner of Royal Cosy Hills Hotel in Jirapa, also known as Jirapa Dubai in the Upper West Region used a ladder to climb the wall of his residence which is opposite the Hotel.

A report by JoyNews indicates that the perpetrator or perpetrators after scaling the wall with the ladder, then used a Master Card to access the deceased’s room.

According to the report, after gruesomely murdering the deceased, the culprit or culprits stole the car key of the victim, drove it out of the compound and later abandoned the vehicle in the Jirapa Township.

The Jirapa Township and the entire Upper West Region has since been in a state of shock, anger and mourning.

The police since the incident have launched investigations into the death of Johnson, culminating in the arrest of seven persons, all believed to be staff of the Hotel.

Among them is Kumbata Kwaku, a security guard who allegedly facilitated the theft of Mr Johnson’s car by opening the gate.

Those arrested include the manager of the hotel, his personal cook, maintenance worker, waitress, and three members of the security team, including the head of security.

They are Dookuuri Fausta, Braimah Kasim, Beyuo Felix, Michael Klugey and Charles Tuoze and Favour Nuobe, both of whom were arrested on Monday, February 12.

Inspector General of Police, George Akuffo Dampare, has deployed a team of investigators to collaborate with the Upper West Regional Crime Scene Management Team.

Their concerted efforts aim to swiftly apprehend the perpetrators and ensure justice is served.
