Appearing on Accra-based Citi Fm, Dr Sereboe Quarcoo, the Director of Electoral Services at the EC, assured that comprehensive preparations have been undertaken to ensure a successful organization of the polls.
“With the exception of ballot papers, all the materials are there, and when we are going, we don’t go with partial delivery; we go with full delivery, so we are not expecting to have shortages.
All things being equal, in case there are shortages, the district office will respond to such shortages.” Dr Sereboe said.
Meanwhile, in the Upper East Region, a total of 947 candidates will contest in the elections. Out of that number, 25, representing 2.6 percent, are women.
