Former firstlady Lordina Mahama visits Chef Failatu
Chef Failatu, who is making the attempt at the Modern City Hotel in Tamale, is on the eighth day, having broken the records of Chief Hilda Baci of Nigeria and Irish Chef Alan Fisher who did 93hrs 11mins and 119hrs and 57 mins, respectively.
Former First Lady, Lordina Mahama, has visited Failatu Abdul-Raza, the cook-a-thon contestant attempting a Guinness World Record for the longest time spent cooking.
Chef Failatu, who is making the attempt at the Modern City Hotel in Tamale, is on the eighth day, having broken the records of Chief Hilda Baci of Nigeria and Irish Chef Alan Fisher who did 93hrs 11mins and 119hrs and 57 mins, respectively.
The former First Lady, who was traveling through Tamale after some New Year activities in Bole in the Savannah Region, spurred on Chef Faila in her quest to set a new world record.
Mahama had earlier, before the start of Failatu’s contest, sent a message and supported her with three sets of her kitchenware and a set each of knives and ladles.
Lordina Mahama, a professional caterer with a degree in hospitality management, was raised in Tamale and attended Bolgatanga Girls Secondary School and later Ghana Secondary School in Tamale.
