In a harrowing incident in Bekwai, Ashanti region, a 34-year-old man is fighting for his life after stabbing both his ex-lover and himself.
As reported by Accra-based Kessben FM, the man, a teacher, had financially supported the lady throughout her nursing training while they were in a relationship. However, after the lady completed her education, their relationship encountered problems, resulting in a separation.
The family of the lady played a decisive role in the split, adamantly opposing the union and refusing to allow the man to marry their daughter.
A close friend of the teacher revealed to Kessben News that despite the separation, the teacher remained deeply in love with his ex-girlfriend, with whom he shares a child.
Last Saturday, the teacher decided to visit his child, who resides with his ex-girlfriend. However, a disagreement erupted upon his arrival, leading to him stabbing his ex-girlfriend.
Multiple news reports indicate that the 26-year-old nurse, named Comfort, was reportedly stabbed seven times by her ex-boyfriend who came to visit her at her home.
The gory incident is said to have happened after the nurse denied her former boyfriend, his request to spend the night when he visited.
The report indicated that Comfort’s refusal to let her former boyfriend stay over led to an altercation which subsequently turned bloody, on January 27, 2024.
The ex-boyfriend, the report indicated, stabbed the nurse seven times on her thighs and belly; leaving her with multiple wounds.
The injured lady who was rescued by her neighbours in a pool of blood was rushed to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for medical treatment, while the man is in a coma currently battling for his life at the same hospital.
