Mike FM Launch: Pungu Chief urges public to embrace Mike FM
The Pungu Pe was delighted that the station will provide a platform for education, entertainment and facilitate deliberations on communal matters.
The people of Kasena-Nankana Municipality and the larger populace of the Upper East Region have been entreated to welcome with open arms Mike FM, a newly opened radio station in the area.
Pungu Pe Abayage Barnabas Anonkore, chief of Pungu Bavugunia highlighted the critical role the radio is expected to play in advancing the progress of the area and region.
Speaking at the launch on November 23, 2024, in Navrongo, the traditional leader said the opening of the station is a vital step forward to promoting local culture and strengthening community ties.
The Pungu Pe, who was delighted over the development, added that the station will provide a platform for education, entertainment and facilitate deliberations on communal matters.
Pe Abayage heaped praises on the Chief Executive Officer Michael Achagwe Luguje for the enormous investment and the other several life-changing interventions he has caused in the area.

He, therefore, encouraged people of the region to embrace it and support its growth.

The launch, which took place at Mike FM’s premises, brought together traditional and political leaders, radio enthusiasts and many other stakeholders, who are impressed with the radio station’s output so far.
With the tagline: Your Credible Voice, the station promises its audience thrilling and impactful programming.
According to its General Manager, Castro Senyalah, the outlet has assembled a talented team of staff, who are passionate about serving listeners with out of the ordinary content.
He called on community for co-operations and feedback to enable it cater adequately for their needs.
On his part, the Municipal Chief Executive for the Kassena-Nankana Municipality, Joseph Adongo commended for its coverage and professionalism and urged it to stick to such professional standards.
The CEO of the station also emphasized the need to adhere to professional standards, pointing out that media can only thrive on such a benchmark.
