The Muslim community in the Kasena-Nankana Municipality has expressed confidence in newly opened radio station Mike FM to dispel misconception about the religion.

Abubakar Samari, who represented the Municipal Chief Imam at the launch of Mike FM on December 23, 2024, said the Muslim community in the area and the country at large has been at the receiving end of stereotype because of falsehood and misconception about the religion.

He believes fact-based and religious sensitive reporting will help disabuse people of the negative perception about the religion and foster tolerance in the country.

While expressing confidence in Mike FM to maintain high journalistic standards, Abubakar urged the outlet to continue to be meticulous in its reportage.

“Just as Allah says in the Quran, when an information comes to you, you investigate before you portray, you investigate before you share it to the people. So, we are much grateful. And on this note, I pray and we hope that Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala opens your center for you successfully,” Mr. Abubakar prayed.
