Police detain one person over suspected killing of CEO of ‘Jirapa Dubai’
Johnson was reportedly discovered lifeless in a pool of blood in one of the rooms of the hotel.
One person has been detained over the bizarre death of Eric Johnson, businessman and Chief Executive Officer of Royal Cosy Hill Hotel popularly known as ‘Jirapa Dubai’ in Jirapa, the police have said in a statement.
The detainment of the individual forms part of an investigation into the suspected gruesome murder of the business mogul on Sunday February 11, 2024. Johnson was reportedly discovered lifeless in a pool of blood in one of the rooms of the hotel.
The Police in the statement said a deployment of a team of investigators has been made by the Inspector-General of Police Dr George Akuffo Dampare, led by the Director-General/CID, to ensure a thorough investigation into the incident.

The Ghana Police Service has commenced investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of Mr. Eric Johnson, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Cossy Hill Hotel at Jirapa in the Upper West Region.
The deceased was found on 11th February 2024 lying in a pool of blood in one of the rooms at the hotel.
The Regional Crime Scene Management Team has visited the scene of the incident.
One person has since been detained to assist the investigation.
The Inspector-General of Police has deployed a team of investigators and experts led by the Director-General/CID to work with the Upper West Regional Police Command to ensure a thorough investigation into the incident.
